 Officially uncorking on Tuesday, March 2, in Arlington’s rapidly developing Columbia Pike neighborhood, Twisted Vines is a combo wine shop/wine bar/bistro showcasing small producer bottlings from around the world, which can be enjoyed at a handsome, wood-backed bar or at tables set under the tin ceiling in the slick, modern space; charcuterie, cheese samplers, salads and a few Eclectic small plates (e.g. boar prosciutto sausage with lentils) should keep hunger pangs at bay while leaving room for one of the tempting desserts.
ARLINGTON COUNTY BOARD ADVERTISES 96.5 CENT TAX RATE FOR CY 2010

- Three public hearings in March
ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Board today voted unanimously to advertise a property tax rate of 96.5 cents per $100 assessed value for Calendar Year (CY) 2010. The Board will hold public hearings on the budget in March and adopt the budget in April. The Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 fiscal year begins July 1, 2010.

CLARENDON ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE

Where: Parade runs from Courthouse to Clarendon, along Wilson Boulevard, starting near Barton Street and ending between Highland Street and Clarendon Circle
Who: All ages

What: As we all know, this year's Clarendon Mardi Gras was cancelled due to the "Blizzard of 2010." Undaunted, the Clarendon Alliance has decided to hold a St. Patrick's Day Parade in its place. Mark your calendar for March 16 and join Clarendon's St. Patrick's Day Eve celebration by watching green floats and leprechauns parade along Wilson Boulevard, one half of the Clarendon streetscape proclaimed one of the 10 Great Streets of America by the American Planning Association! The parade is organized by the Clarendon Alliance.

INSTALLATION OF NEW LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT POSTPONED

 In order to fit into the vendors busy installation schedule as well as prepare for necessary repairs and upgrades to the laundry rooms themselves, installation of the new equipment has been pushed back until May. During ths time we are working to modify the new contract to upgrade a specific laundry room from three each of the washers and dryers to six units each and to ensure the card-vending kiosk meets as many of our needs as possible.

STORM ASSESSMENT REPORT
We are preparing a report for the community that will document our expenses for snow removal and property damages incurred during the February snowstorms. This will take some time as we're waiting on various adjusters and estimates but feel it's important that the community is aware of real costs for this unusual series of events.
SPRING YOGA CLASSES START SOON
The Arlington Oaks all levels yoga class will be held once again this spring. The class is designed for all levels of yoga student and focuses on using hatha yoga techniques to help develop a strong body and peaceful mind. (Please bring your own mat.)
